Groundhog Day: 2018

To celebrate Groundhog Day, we made a parody of the Bill Murray classic.

I dare say I nailed Ned Ryerson. Lead actor Austin is hilarious, as always, but the Ned casting is spot-on.

I was happy to make this with fellow deviants Meredith and Austin Bragg, because Groundhog Day is not only my favorite film, it is the greatest film ever made. It’s hilarious, but there’s tremendous depth to it. It’s basically a Buddhist exegesis: a man repeats an endless cycle of suffering, and breaks it only when he loses his sense of self and starts thinking about others.
