Prank calls have fallen out of vogue the last few years, getting wounded with the invention of Caller ID and all but obliterated with personalized cell phone numbers. But one hero, who I have already nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize, has resurrected this hallowed institution. A guy called in sick to places he doesn’t work at. Think about that for a moment. Imagine you are the HR apparatchik designated to deal with this stuff and are furiously combing through your gray matter for whoever “Jordan” is. The best part is, if the HR mossback is having an off-day, Jordan might get fired from a job he never had and collect a sweet severance package.
